Why We Created Airwaves OS
The world of radio signal decoding has long been fragmented, with numerous specialized tools that often require technical knowledge to set up and operate. Airwaves was born from the need to unify these tools under a single, user-friendly platform.
Initially developed by the team behind Airframes, the platform has evolved with a broader vision - to serve all radio-related interests with the same level of reliability and ease of use.
Beyond Aviation and Maritime
While our initial focus has been on aviation and maritime radio signals (ACARS, VDL, HFDL, AIS, etc.), our vision extends much further. Airwaves OS is designed to eventually support all radio-related interests, including:
- Amateur (ham) radio
- Meteorological data
- Satellite communications
- Terrestrial broadcasting
- Emergency services monitoring
- Scientific research
